Product Case

Medical education platform for Indonesian students.

AVIClass is a comprehensive digital learning platform designed specifically for Indonesian medical students — offering live classes with practicing physicians, full-simulation exam tryouts, case-based clinical reasoning development, and one-on-one mentoring with healthcare professionals.

The platform addresses a structural gap in medical education accessibility in Indonesia: high-quality, structured preparation for medical licensing exams has historically been available only through expensive in-person programs concentrated in major urban centers. AVIClass makes the same quality of preparation available digitally — at a fraction of the cost and without geographic constraints.

A joint initiative with AVICENNA TECH — Sister Company

Background

Built for Indonesia's medical students

Indonesia has one of the largest medical student populations in Southeast Asia. The national medical licensing examination (UKMPPD) is rigorous and competitive, and preparation quality directly determines outcomes. Students in smaller cities and outside of Java have historically had limited access to the structured preparation resources that students in Jakarta or Surabaya take for granted.

AVIClass was conceived specifically to address this inequity. By delivering high-quality preparation content through a digital platform, it extends access to structured, mentor-supported preparation to students anywhere in Indonesia with a reliable internet connection.

The platform is in active development, with content coverage expanding across clinical and pre-clinical subjects, and the mentor network growing with experienced doctors and specialists from across Indonesia.

Partnership Structure

AVICENNA TECH & HAFETECH

AVIClass is owned and operated by AVICENNA TECH — a sister company of HAFETECH focused on EdTech applications in the healthcare education sector. HAFETECH provides the full technology foundation: platform architecture, mobile application engineering, infrastructure management, and ongoing technical delivery.

The two companies operate independently but share engineering resources, technical standards, and organizational alignment. This structure allows AVICENNA TECH to focus on product, curriculum, and market development in Indonesia while HAFETECH ensures the technical platform meets production quality standards.

Platform

Full Platform Capabilities

Live Interactive Classes

Scheduled live sessions taught by practicing doctors, specialists, and professors. Sessions are interactive — students can ask questions in real time, participate in polls, and engage with clinical scenarios as they are presented. Sessions are recorded and available for review after completion.

Exam Simulation Tryouts

Full-length simulated medical exams designed to replicate the structure, timing, and question format of national medical licensing assessments in Indonesia. Tryout results include detailed performance breakdowns by topic area, identifying strength and weakness patterns for targeted remediation.

Case-Based Learning

Clinical case modules that present a patient scenario and guide students through the diagnostic reasoning process — history-taking, physical examination findings, differential diagnosis, investigation interpretation, and management planning. Builds the clinical thinking framework that written study alone cannot develop.

Private Mentoring

One-on-one sessions with experienced medical professionals. Students schedule mentoring sessions to discuss specific topics, review weak areas, or work through challenging clinical concepts with a mentor who can adapt the session to their individual learning needs.

Structured Course Modules

Topic-organized video-based courses covering the full spectrum of pre-clinical and clinical medicine. Courses are organized by subject area and difficulty, allowing students to follow a recommended progression or jump directly to topics relevant to their current study phase.

Certification

Completion certificates issued upon finishing courses and structured programs. Certificates are verifiable and reflect demonstrated engagement with the curriculum, providing students with documentation of their continuing medical education activity.

Progress Tracking

Detailed dashboards tracking completion rates, exam performance over time, time spent by topic, and mentor session history. Progress data is presented in a format designed to help students identify and address learning gaps systematically, not just track completion.

Flexible Access

Platform access across web and mobile, with offline content availability for pre-downloaded materials. Designed for students with varied schedules and connectivity — including those rotating through hospital departments with limited internet access.
